 Last words of Adam (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) It was narrated to us by Abu ‘Abdillah ibn Ahmad (1 )[...] that ‘Utayy ibn al-Sa‘d! (2). reported that Ubayy ibn Ka‘b (3) said:  “The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, ‘When Adam was on his deathbed, Allah sent him a shroud and embalming scent from Paradise.  When Hawa saw the Angels, she grew frightened. Adam said to her,‘Let me be alone with my Lord’s messengers. Because of you, I was afflicted with what I had to endure, and had it not been because of you, nothing of this would have happened.”’  This story is da-if as can be observed from the footnotes regarding its narrators. The authors father, ‘Abdullah ibn Ahmad appears in the chain of narration who is considered to be a da‘if narrator. It was narrated to us by Abu al-Qasim 'Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al- AzIz al-BaghawI [1]that Ibn Abl Mulaykah[2  ] narrated  that Aishah R.A said , “My father told me: In what did you shroud the Mes-senger of Allah ﷺ?’  I replied that we shrouded him in three pieces of clothing.   He said, ‘Take these two clothes of mine and wash them— both of which were dyed in a reddish colour—and buy me a third piece of clothing but make sure it is not expensive.  I replied,‘O father, We are well off so we can buy an expensive one.   He said, ‘O daughter, the living is worthier of wearing new garments than the dead.
